2015 Grenache - LaBarge Vineyard, Sta. Rita Hills

90 Points - Jeb Dunnuck

From a cooler site in the Sta. Rita Hills, the 2015 Grenache LaBarge Vineyard gives up a medium ruby color as well as notes of bright raspberry and strawberry fruits, cedary spice, and ground pepper. It picks up more minerality and dried earth characteristics with time in the glass, has medium-bodied depth and richness, and savory tannins on the finish. It's going to drink nicely for 7-8 years.

2016 Grenache - Larner Vineyard, Ballard Canyon

93 Points - The Wine Enthusiast

This Grenache is from the sandy and chalky soils of Larner vineyard in the southern part of Ballard Canyon.  2/3 wholecluster fermentation adds spice, texture and body.  Fresh and lively with red juicy fruit you can sink your teeth into. Fine grippy tannins from the mid-palate through finish give the wine focus and depth, and the bright acidity allows this wine to ‘walk the line’ between elegance and big complex flavors.
