"The 2019 Pinot Noir Lotus is a selection of the best two barrels in the cellar. The Lotus is a bit more perfumed and lighter in body than most of the other Pinots, largely owing to generous use of stems here. It's a style that works especially well in 2019. "This reserve from Matt Brady is all spice and smoke when first poured. The plummy richness becomes more pronounced and generous with air. Oak presents itself in the wine’s concentration, the dark cherry flavors adorned by a woodsy, mushroomy spice. It’s balanced, if ripe, with the stuffing to age." —P.J.C.
