2019 Grenache - Larner Vineyard, Ballard Canyon
94 points - Erin Brooks, The Wine Advocate
The 2019 Grenache - Larner Vineyard is again a superb expression of cool-climate Grenache - incredibly focused, deep and multidimensional, while still retaining bright, refreshing acid. The high inclusion of stems makes this Grenache both savory and spicy, while still showcasing the flashy Santa Barbara fruit profile we love. Notes of raspberry cream soda, baking spice and dried apricots with a hint of fennel create a food-friendly and layered wine with tons of aging potential, but that's delicious upon release. -Matt Brady, Winemaker

"Pale ruby, the 2019 Grenache Larner Vineyard features delicate strawberry, raspberry and rose petal perfume with notes of earth and dried thyme. The medium-bodied palate is intense yet delicate, with a soft, juicy frame, ultra fragrant fruits and a long, bitters-laced finish." -Erin Brooks

"Very light in the glass, this bottling floats aromas of rose petal, strawberry, pomegranate and garden herbs on the nose. There's a firm tension to the palate, where brisk sour-cherry and more pomegranate flavors converge with a wet stone minerality." -Matt Kettmann
