Magnum - 2019 Chardonnay - Zotovich Vineyard

We love Zotovich Vineyard for it's consistently mineral-driven wines and the 2019 is no exception. The maritime minerality of this Chardonnay is reminiscent of crushed oystershells and sea spray, with notes of fresh, bright citrus on the nose. The palate is very generous, with richness, weight and mouth coating texture although this wine is at the same time bright, clean and fresh with lovely tropical notes of guava and tart pineapple. The complexity, depth and expressiveness of this wine make it intriguing on its own or a beautiful pairing for fresh seafood or a dessert cheese plate. -Lily Hays, Direct to Consumer Business Manager

"This is a very Chablis-like bottling, starting with tight and edgy but ultimately smoothed out aromas of lime zest, chalk and lemongrass. The palate is tense, like licking river stones and sea shells, offering flavors of Meyer lemon peel and citrus juice." -Matt Kettmann

" The 2019 Chardonnay Zotovich Vineyard is bright, airy and ethereal, all typical of this Sta. Rita Hills site. Crushed rocks, mint, lime and white pepper all race out of the glass. The 2018 wonderfully focuses, with plenty of brightness and saline notes in the background." -Antonio Galloni
